Personal Health Care, Inc awarded Home Health Care Accreditation from The Joint Commission

(PHOENIXVILLE, PA, 3/11/22) – Personal Health Care, Inc. has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Home Health Care Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
Personal Health Care underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review on 3/1-2/22. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with Home Health Care standards spanning several areas including emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, leadership, medication management, and rights and responsibilities of the individual).
The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

Personal Health Care works tirelessly everyday to meet and exceed the Joint Commission standards. In preparation for our accreditation, we reviewed and updated policies and procedures pertaining to best practices in patient care and employee performance. We rely on insightful data from our Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Plan to develop projects to improve processes within our organization, and promote growth, so that we may continue to rise to the top of this ever-changing healthcare industry. Our accreditation from the Joint Commission is a representation of this collaborative and constant effort to be the best agency for our employees and our patients.
